Fees & Rebates

We are committed to providing accessible and high-quality psychological treatment. Our fees are set below those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Session Fees

A standard psychological consultation is 50 minutes.

Fees are payable at the time of your appointment and can be paid by:

• Cash
• Credit card
• EFTPOS

We offer reduced fees for patients with a valid Health Care Card or Pension Card. Please contact us to discuss your eligibility and options for reduced fees.

Medicare Rebates

You don’t need a referral to see a psychologist at Yellow Wattle Psychology. However, many of our clients are eligible for a Medicare rebate.

How to Access Medicare Rebates

• Visit your GP to obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan
• Your GP will provide a referral to Yellow Wattle Psychology
• You can then access 10 sessions per calendar year with a Medicare rebate

Current Medicare rebate is $101.55 per session

Eating Disorder Services (EDP)

If you are living with a diagnosed eating disorder, you can receive up to 40 psychological sessions with a Medicare psychologist in a 12-month period under an Eating Disorder Plan (EDP).

Other Funding Options

We also accept referrals from:

• Workcover
• TAC (Transport Accident Commission)
• NDIS (plan managed or self-managed only)

Private Health Insurance

Private rebates vary according to your insurer. Please contact your health fund to discuss your coverage.
